Trade Compliance Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining a world-class Global Trade Compliance program in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China (Greater China).
- Implement Corporate GTC policies and procedures.
- Work with all stakeholders to implement appropriate internal trade compliance processes and procedures to comply with all applicable import/export and customs regulations.
- Be the escalation point to all internal stakeholders on all matters related to trade and customs compliance.
- Partner with Group Logistics and other Group business units/functions to ensure smooth movement of goods across borders.
- Participate in conducting trade compliance training to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure export compliance requirements are communicated throughout the organization so all employees are aware of the requirements that pertain to their job responsibilities.
- Ensure all internal stakeholders are in compliance with administrative requirements applicable to import & export transactions, including record keeping, certification & reporting requirements.
- Manage import and export license process to support Group’s Asia distribution & Logistics programs.
- Coordinates & assist with audits to assess the import/export compliance of the company.
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- Over 3 years of international working experience managing regional trade compliance programs for electronics manufacturing or distribution including import/export, warehousing, physical distribution, duty brokerage and customs.
- Working knowledge of Hong Kong TID pre-classification, license management, Greater China trade and/or harmonized tariff required. brokerage or other trade operational experience desired; knowledge of corporate trade compliance programs and issues desired.
- Working knowledge of export regulations of U.S. and Singapore.
- Highly motivated, independent and organized individual.
- Results-oriented, able to multi-task & prioritize.
- Able to interface with various departments of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
